My Grandmother died as a result of Alzheimer's; our family endured 5 years of progressive misery; first with everyone chipping in at her home and for the final three years; visiting her (or someone that resembled her) at a nursding home. I looked at the Phase II for IVIG; and compared to the cost of life, family and absolute cost of care (sighs); we woudl have gladly paid out of pocket. How many more of the 5 million + with Alzheimer's will end up suffering.
